Herbal Medicine
Chinese herbal formulas have been perfected over thousands of years. The science behind combining, processing, and dosing herbs has made them a safe and effective way to heal and enhance mind/body functions. We use only third-party, lab-tested herbs that contain no pesticides, additives, or sulfites.
We strive to carry as many organic herbs as we can ethically source. And we also carry high-potency extracts, capsules, and tinctures.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture has changed since its beginnings over 5000 years ago when nine types of needles were mentioned in old texts. Now, we use thin, sterile, disposable needles that go in less than half an inch into areas that are tight or weak. These needles are so fine that more than 20 can fit into a standard hypodermic needle. You may feel a tiny pinch, but usually, there is no discomfort at all. Most people enjoy how their bodies feel with the needles and often want them to stay in longer.
Ear Acupuncture and Acupressure
Ear acupuncture, or auriculotherapy, is a form of alternative medicine based on the concept that the ear represents a microsystem of the entire body, with different areas on the auricle (the outer part of the ear) corresponding to specific body parts. This method is particularly beneficial for individuals dealing with high levels of stress, anger, depression, fatigue, and other forms of emotional or physical pain.
Cupping and Moxa
Cupping is a modality of Chinese medicine where suction is applied to the skin, creating a vacuum which causes your skin to rise and blood vessels to expand. During cupping, the skin is gently drawn upwards into the cup creating a vacuum thereby affecting the skin, muscle, meridian and blood and Qi flow locally. It stretches tissues, releasing tense nerves and bringing stagnant blood to the surface, which helps the body remove toxins. This therapy supports the lymphatic system, clears blood blockages, and can improve conditions like skin allergies, stretch marks, and varicose veins.
